Beacons
I worked at Beacons, a startup that creates software to give creators one unified place to link to all of their content and secure brand deals. I worked across the stack across our creator-facing, manager-facing, and public-facing features.
During my time at Beacons, I worked on essentially every product and team. I implemented a number of high-impact features, refactors, and overhauls. Here are a few highlights:
- I served as one of two growth engineers, working on the full funnel of growth experimentation. I rapidly proposed, tested, and evaluated growth experiments. The year our team was around, Beacons tripled its ARR.
- I wrote the first commit of our migration to TypeScript. Throughout the process, I created documentation, delegated tasks, and tackled the most complicated generics we had. I helped see through our migration of 100k+ lines of code.
- I meaningfully improved the frontend codebase and user experience throughout my time at Beacons. Due to this self-driven frontend platform work, I had a solo team created to allow me to better tackle essential frontend architecture and overhaul our platform UX. I was the lead of our component library, and worked incredibly closely with the design team to create the best experience posisble for design, engineering, and users.
